About Petsmile
We help pets live a happier, longer life.
Petsmile is the first and only Veterinary Oral Health Council accepted toothpaste with Calprox.
Petsmile's proprietary formula, Calprox, is clinically proven to stop plaque and tartar buildup by gently dissolving the protein pellicle. The protein pellicle is a thin layer that forms on the surface of your pet's teeth, to which plaque, bacteria, and stains adhere. Removing the pellicle leaves your pet’s teeth whiter and cleaner, while improving gum health, and giving kissable fresh breath.
When Supersmile’s founder Dr. Irwin Smigel the "Father of Aesthetic Dentistry" decided to launch Petsmile his idea was simple: cats and dogs need healthy teeth and gums, just like people.
Dr. Smigel, DDS was already world-renowned before starting Petsmile. He invented the “tooth bonding” technique that has helped millions of people with imperfections painlessly fix, chips, and gaps in teeth. He also invented Supersmile’s Professional Whitening Toothpaste to keep his patients newly bonded, veneered or natural teeth white and bright. Supersmile quickly gained a devoted following and now includes a complete oral-care product line sold globally.
His celebrity patients included Jennifer Lopez, Elizabeth Taylor, Bruce Willis, Jimmy Fallon, and many more. Dr. Smigel has appeared as a guest on a wide range of national television and radio programs including The Today Show, Good Morning America, Regis & Kathy Lee, NBC News, ABC News, Fox News, CBS News, CNN, and most major worldwide publications.
In 2009, the National Museum of Dentistry, an affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution, unveiled "The Smile Experience," a permanent historical exhibition honoring Dr. Irwin Smigel as "The Father of Aesthetic Dentistry."
